Here is another great role suitable for support engineers with growth mindsets and MSP experience. Particularly good for help desk engineers wanting to work in a multi client environment in order to take their career further and learn more, quicker.

  • Service Desk Engineer with the skills to prove it, you will be required to troubleshoot not just escalate
  • Be able to identify and articulate the problem correctly
  • MSP or similar time based billing environment experience will be highly valued
  • Keenness to learn and work in a Managed Services Provider

Keys to this role is the ability to work professionally on the phone while speaking to clients. You'll need to be able to manage your own queue of tickets and work with a team to resolve whatever comes through. This role is all about the outcome for the customer, knowing what tickets to work on when and which one's should be escalated or passed to someone else. 

Reasonable support and strong troubleshooting experience with the following technologies are needed or desired–

  • Windows Desktops in AD environments
  • Windows Server 2003 - 2012 - basic support/admin experience
  • Exchange 2003 - 2013 - basic support/admin
  • Active Directory
  • Good network troubleshooting skills
  • Some experience with routers and switches
  • Virtualisation experience
  • Citrix and thin client experience
