It Service Desk Analyst - 2344852
- Small Australian based IT team – you’ll matter and make a difference
- Global company with great job security and career path options
- Access to project work not just helpdesk support
- Career pathway options into management or more technical engineering roles.
A global company supplying the Insurance industry is looking for an IT Support Analyst to join their team. But, before you roll your eyes and think its “another helpdesk job,” hear me out.
This role is different because:
- It’s not about how many tickets you close. It’s about how effectively you solve problems and communicate. We’re not interested in metrics around ticket numbers or closure rates, we’re interested in people that can own a problem and communicate effectively. Competent, switched on people that take their time and do a job properly and get help when they need to.
- Your work has direct impact to decision-makers in the company. You’ll be doing VIP support, you won’t be expected to know everything, you will be expected to be confident, proactive and responsive when helping a C level exec with a computer problem.
- You’ll have the freedom to take initiative and you will be given the support when you need it. If you know how to fix something but don’t have the access, you’ll be given the access or work alongside someone who has the access to fix it yourself.
- There’s real career progression – whether that’s deeper into tech or towards management. Systems Administrator or Team Lead or even IT Manager, they’re all potential career paths for you here.
A typical day might involve:
- Setting up a new hire’s laptop and accounts using Intune.
- Troubleshooting why a CFO can’t connect to the VPN for their important call.
- Collaborating with global teams to resolve a SharePoint issue.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Knows their way around Microsoft Cloud Services (SharePoint, Exchange from admin and user perspective).
- Familiarity with Intune for laptop rollouts.
- Someone who takes initiative, confident and comfortable to speak with executives.
- Is organized enough to manage multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
- If you understand a bit about the insurance industry, then this will be a bonus but it’s not essential.
- Should already be based in Sydney because that’s where the action is.
If you’re looking for a role where your IT and people skills can have a direct impact on the business, let’s talk. Ready to take the next step?
