A lot of MSP roles are multi-hatted. You know, the boss wants you to wear the sales hat and the account management hat and the solutions design hat and the projects hat and the support hat and the team lead hat, because the company isn’t big enough or properly structured to have different people in different roles.

Not this one.

This is a senior technical role where your focus will be on designing and delivering cloud based projects primarily in Azure. There will be a focus on security and Essential 8 in particular and your senior technical skills will be utllised to make sure all projects are designed and delivered with security by design not as an after thought.

So where are the growth opportunities?

Primarily in growing the depth and breadth of your solution design skills. At least in the short term. In the longer term there will be options to head into management leading a technical projects team or if you want to stay on the tools then doing more R & D work to build innovative solutions for bigger clients.

What tech is invovled?

The key stuff is:

• Azure cloud – a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop
• Cybersecurity projects and audtiing
• Genral solution design and implementation for common cloud and systems projects
• M365 – mail and file migrations, intune
• Windows Server related projects

So it will be of particular interest if you like cloud related projects and cybersecurity. These guys have even (ethically) hacked into their own clients through getting physical access using social engineering and plugging in a backdoor device in the CEO’s office. (The client was amazed and has now upped their security consciousness).
