Senior Network Engineer (advertised)

  • Location Bibra Lake, WA
  • Salary A$120k/year - 160k/year
  • Job Type Full Time
  • Posted July 15, 2024

If you’re the kind of network engineer who gets twitchy when things aren’t done properly…

If you’d rather be deep in complex routing than buried in tickets…

And if you want autonomy without being left on an island…

This role might just be your sweet spot.

Here’s what’s on offer:

Design and deliver your own enterprise networking projects – from scratch.

Work how you want – hybrid, remote, whatever works once you’re up and running.

No micro managers – you manage your projects, your time, and your results.

Learn directly from senior Network Architects who actually care about mentoring.

You won’t be stuck on support. You won’t be doing the same thing every day. You’ll be building enterprise-level solutions across networking, security, infrastructure, and cloud – for a mix of mid-tier and government clients.

Each project runs for a few weeks to a few months, and you’ll see it through end to end – design, implementation, documentation. It’s consulting, but technical. It’s cutting edge not old school.

If you’ve got the chops and the curiosity, this is a career accelerator.

What you need to bring:

• Solid routing and switching skills. Strong knowledge of OSPF and BGP – carrier grade stuff ideally.

• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, HP or Dell firewalls and routers – not all are essential.

• Hands-on with VPNs (IPSec/DMVPN), wireless (Cisco/Aruba ideally).

• Comfortable talking tech at a whiteboard and at a client boardroom table.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with SANs, vSphere, Veeam, SD-WAN, and redundant fabrics.

Fortinet or VMware certifications.

• The ability to write a killer design doc (or willingness to learn how to).

About the company:

You’ll be joining a seriously good IT project delivery firm in the southern suburbs. They’re known for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to clients who expect results. Their work includes data centres, remote mining comms setups, and enterprise infrastructure builds.

The culture is grown-up and technical. The leadership team are true tech-heads, not just people who used to do the job. People we’ve placed there in the past still rave about it – and they’re still there.

If you’re passionate about networks, want to work on cutting edge tech, and are tired of being micromanaged or stuck doing BAU support… this is the move.

Curious? Hit apply.

We’ll chat properly – no pressure, no awkwardness – and you can decide if it’s worth exploring.
