What’s the best bang for buck when it comes to certifications?

Well in the video below I give a specific example of how going up one level in terms of your certification could yield an increase in salary of $40k or more. Now this won’t be everyone’s area of specialisation but in terms of the roles I see, it’s probably the biggest increase you could get in salary in terms of the type of work you would qualify for and therefore what you could be paid.

So I guess my challenge for you is to think about an area of IT you’re skilled or passionate in and look at what certification you’d need to take you up to the next level. That will maximise your potential for a salary increase at your next performance review.
